The Minister of the Environment met with the Ambasador of Japan

On July 25th this year Minister Henryk Kowalczyk met with Japan's ambassador Tsukasa Kawada. The topic of talks was to strengthen bilateral cooperation in environmental protection. Both countries maintain the potential for the energy production from fossil fuels. Therefore, the position pertaining to the practical implementation of the provisions of the Convention on climate change, and in particular of the Paris Agreement seems to be similar, even taking into account the specificity of both  countries. Minister Kowalczyk also expressed high appreciation for the technological development of Japan, including the growing concern for the quality of the natural environment.
