The Karnieszewice Forest District is the only participant in the innovative Carbon Forest Project within the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Szczecinek. 

Planned additional activites include introduction of beech and hornbeam seedlings under the shelter of tree stands. In April this year, the Forest District organized an event called 'Green Footprint' as part of the local promotion of CF project.
