On May 23, the Carbon Forests Project was granted the honorary patronage of the Minister of the Environment. Minister of Environment, Henryk Kowalczyk underlined that the project contributes to the international commitments in the field of climate policy and fits to the assumptions of the Forest Policy of State. 

Absorption of carbon dioxide by forests is one of the most effective methods of reducing the concentration of this gas in the atmosphere.
